Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop stars. She was an artist capable of effectively bridge the gap between pop and country music while sweeping the globe. Swift left country music like it was another layer and proved that she's possibly the smartest pop-singer/songwriter her generation. Someone who is able to harness the zeitgeist to make it personal, and be able to perform at the opposite. Swift's early songs, including her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. The album from 2008 Fearless showcased a writer who was re-discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. The album ended up with a lot of legs not only on the U.S. where it racked the record with six platinum singles, thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and You Belong with Me but throughout the world, with a particular success within the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift was able to consolidate her success through Speak Now almost two year following. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, her popularity increased and she found herself in a music scene where it was clear that she was a part of. Even though she had slowed her production with folklore, and Evermore released in 2020, she was still at the forefront of pop music.
